Diving safari on South Siam ships in the Similan Islands
Similan Islands - is a group of islands located in the Andaman Sea northwest of Phuket Island, in the province of Pang Nga. North of Similan, near the Burmese border, is Surin Island, which, like the Similan Islands, is a national park.
Surin Island and the surrounding islands Ko Bon, Richelieu rock, will be part of your exciting journey. These places are considered the best dive sites in Thailand and are among the 10 most fascinating davsites in the World.
While traveling You will be accommodated in air-conditioned double cabins on a comfortable three-deck boat. The boats can accommodate up to 28 people.
- On the first level The boat has a large dive deck at your disposal, where you are assigned a place for the whole stay. Six bathrooms with shower and hot water.
- Second level - A large deck under the roof where meals, briefings and socializing among like-minded people take place.
- On the third level There is a large san-deck with sun loungers where you can sunbathe in your free time.
Safari boats are always cruising around the Similan Islands, according to the principle: new stop-new dive site. You make 4 dives per day, including night dives. On the day of departure - 3 dives.
The transfer takes place as follows:
- At 6 am you will be picked up by minibus and driven to Tap Lamu pier, 110 km. from Phuket Island, from where a speedboat will take you to your destination within an hour.
- At 10 o'clock in the morning you are already making your first dive.
The advantage of such an organization is that you can choose any number of days you want to devote to diving, from one to infinity.
Please note that diving conditions in these areas are not easy.
Depths reach more than 40 meters and there are often strong currents. For this reason, only experienced divers with a certification level of at least Advanced Open Water Diver PADI or Universal Diver NDL.
We want to make an important point. When going on a dive safari, you need to be confident in your skills and abilities. We recommend that you take a course PADI Advanced Open Water Diver In advance. Work out with the instructor all the weak points to avoid stressful situations. During a dive safari it is better to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world rather than be distracted by training.
So what to do if you are a novice diver with a basic level certificate but eager to enjoy the beauty of the Similan Islands?
We need to take a course Advanced Open Water Diver PADI or Universal Diver NDL, and then go on a dive safari. The course takes only 2 days.
If you're pressed for time, this course can be taken directly during the dive safari.
In this case, the price per course will be different (contact us for course fees).
We also recommend Use nitrox during a dive safari. This air mixture will help your body to be more alert and active.
You can read about the benefits of NITROX. here. If you don't already have a certificate PADI Enriched Air Diver, this special course can also be taken during a dive safari.
Please note!
This destination is quite popular and in high season it often happens that there are no vacancies on the boat. We recommend you to book your tour in advance!
To confirm the reservation!
In order to confirm your reservation and reserve a place for you, you must make a prepayment of 70% of the tour price. In case of cancellation of the tour for any reason on your part, the prepayment for the tour is not refundable.
